Objectives

1.       Minimize displacement

2.       Adequate rehab. Package, active participation

3.       Protecting the rights of SCs, STs, OBCs and weaker sections

4.       Better standard of life

5.       Integrate with development activities

6.       Ensure Bonhomie relation

Affected family?

1. Schedule areas – 15 years +
2. Non-Schedule areas – 30 yrs +

Administrator for R & R – Not less than D.C.

Social Impact Assessment

•       If 100+ families

•       Administrator – D.C.

•       Drinking water, business, occupation

•       Religious place, Cultural impact etc..

Environmental Impact Assessment

•       Overall control planning execution and Monitoring – D.C.

Resettlement and Rehabilitation Plan

•       Declaration of area within 15 days of SIA acceptance

•       At least in 3 Newspaper (2 in Hindi)

•       Gram Panchayat/Nagarpalika Notice

•       Baseline survey to identify the affected families

•       100+ à Janjatiya Salahkar Parishad

5 year start of Project OR 15 years completion of Project if failed

•       Return to State Govt.

•       If State Govt fails to implement new project

•       Return to the families
